There are a couple of high-profile firsts this weekend — first general Kyrie 1 release; first remastered retro Air Jordan launch — but you need not wait even that long for one wildly attractive “next”: the Nike KD 7 EXT Longhorn State releases today, January 9.

Inspired by Kevin Durant’s Adidas Superstar Femme Noire collegiate years at the University of Texas, the Nike Sportswear-styled edition of Kevin’s on-court kicks is executed in pony hair through the upper, boasting a print borrowed straight off the longhorn, the official nickname of both the University and state of Texas.

Suede flocking is present on the midsole and strap, delivering a sharp contrast in solid black that adds a premium touch, and orange jumps out of the heel Zoom units.

Oregon and Ohio State are set to do battle to be crowned the first-ever College Football Playoff national champion, an accomplishment much to long in the making. The teams’ season-long journey is celebrated in the first colorway of the latest Bo Jackson model: the Nike Air Bo 1 Diamond Quest.

The most recent Bo model looks to his early-90s prime for inspiration, with an overall vintage feel to the silhouette, Adidas ZX 700 Dámské collar and sole that clearly finds inspiration in that decade’s Air Trainer line, once synonymous with the two-sport star. The trophy-like lead colorway boasts glimmering silver throughout the leather build, with a distinct geometric print tonally emblazoned along the toecap.

Contrast black frames that silver upper, deftly playing off the translucent Swoosh and outsole and, finally, teal pops on the heel-tab and midsole-speckling, and provides the “O” in the tongue’s new “BO” logo.
