Revealing the east African country's plan to provide cleanpotable water for its people in the coming 7 years period, SileshiBekele, Ethiopian Minister of Water, Irrigation and Electricity,also indicated that some 65 million Ethiopians have access topotable water in Ethiopia as of last month Maglia Luca Pellegrini , the end of theEthiopian year.


According to the World Bank, Ethiopia is Africa's second mostpopulous nation with a population of 102.4 million in 2016.


According to Bekele, the Ethiopian government is working torealize the target in line with the country's ambition to become amiddle-income country by 2025 and the country's second 5-yearGrowth and Transformation Plan (GTP II), due effective from 2015 to2020.
